SUMMARY: To promote the unexpected value of the new 40-MPG Elantra, Pop2Life worked with Glam.com to run a sweepstakes giving away unexpected prizes on 5 major blogs. This “surprise” sweepstakes was an instant win. A user would read about a product, then click the “win this” button and would either instantly win the product or be redirected for a chance to win the grand prize. Although the prizes given away were mostly under a few hundred dollars, the number of people this sweepstakes reached was huge. Hyundai gained huge media value on this microsite which included a commercial, slideshow, and links to check out the new car.
