The Wonderful World of Country

I wasn’t a big fan of country music for the longest time. As a child and teenager, I only liked pop music, the top 100 Billboard songs, and whatever was playing on the radio. However, during my freshman year of university I met this awesome girl who is a huge country fan (and is now one of my closest friends!). She introduced me to her favorite country songs and somehow got me to change my mind about country music and like it. The first artist she had me listen to was probably Taylor Swift when she was just getting popular (throwback time: “Teardrops On My Guitar” anyone?). Since...

Crrrazy Promos!!

Hey P2L Crew!!

I’m on my fourth week here and I have to say the most interesting part of this internship, besides the meetings of course, are the weekly reports (surprisingly enough).  I love doing the weekly reports because I find the most interesting and absurd advertisements and promotions.  One ad I found while doing last week’s weekly report was a promotion that was being done in Italy.  A celebrity Italian magazine, Oggi, packaged a set of knives with its new issue that featured Amanda Knox.  I was so taken aback that this was accepted in Italy!!! Who would buy a magazine...

You’re Never Too Old For Cartoons!

Fair warning: this may turn into another nostalgia post.

Over the summer, Pop2Life did a promotional event -- the 60 Days of Summer -- for Cartoon Network in Atlantis. Cartoon Network wanted to showcase two of their main shows: “Adventure Time” and “Hole In the Wall.” From the pictures that I have seen, the event was a success and wish I could have been there (especially for the awesome free Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks concert)!

Jordin Sparks with Finn and Jake

I grew up watching programs on Cartoon Network, so obviously I am more than familiar with the name. However,...

OHHHH HEYYY P2L CREW!

Hey Everyone!!
My name is Erika Bellido and I’m one of the new Pop2Life interns for Fall 2011.  I’m 21 years old and I’m a senior Communications, Arts and Journalism major at Pace University in Pleasantville, NY.  I’ve been apart of Pop2Life for three weeks so far and I love it!  I’ve sat in on a few meetings and it’s great to be apart of a process that results in a HUGE event.  The people here make me feel so comfortable.  The way everyone interacts with each other allows me to open up more and share my ideas.  I have a great feeling about Pop2Life and I’m grateful for this...

You Can’t Stop The Beat!

My first week at Pop2Life was a little crazy because the office had just come back from Vegas for the iHeartRadio Music Festival. Of course my initial reaction when they told me where they had been just a few days earlier was awe…then jealousy. That is the exact kind of job I’d like to have, to work hard on an event and be able to sit back and enjoy the results!

What happened in Vegas…

iHeartRadio took place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand with performers like Lady GaGa, Jennifer Lopez, Jay-Z, Coldplay, and a whole lot more. I adore all of these artists because their upbeat songs...

Yo Yo Yo!!

Hey everyone! I’m Tiffany, the new intern for this semester. My first day was yesterday, and I had no idea what to expect. I helped organize a few lists, but it was not a bad thing to have only one or two things to do because it gave me time to get settled, adjust, and learn the ropes. I also enjoy the fact that dress is casual, everyone’s friendly and gets along, and oh yeah, the fact that there’s the cutest dog in the world here to keep us company. Hello, dream job!

In all seriousness though, I cannot wait for the rest of the semester and gain more experience and skills in...
