We all have them: The songs that pick us off the ground and forcibly throws us into the past. They can toss us to a season, or a person, or even an exact moment in time.

I was blessed (or cursed) to have a memory like a vault. I can recall conversations word-for-word, remember what page I read something on, and splurt out facts about the most random of topics (Did you know Elvis was an honorary narcotics officer?). This gift also means I can link moments in my life with whatever song was playing at the time. It is really rather unfortunate when Rascal Flatts’ ‘Bless the Broken...

Last Sunday, I found myself with a bit of free time on Sunday, so I tuned into the MTV Movie Awards with the hopes of catching a glimpse of Holley, our Executive Assistant, and Emilie, one of our Project Development Managers, in the audience. Unfortunately, between making myself jumbo-sized bowls of popcorn and adamantly arguing with my 14-year-old sister that either Inception or Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I would beat out Eclipse for Best Movie (…an argument I clearly lost), I somehow managed to miss them.

The Twilight cast SWEPT the MTV Movie Awards on June 5th and it’s easy to see why – the series is populated with gorgeous, caring studs that will make any teenager swoon. (Team Jacob, anyone!?) Judging by the screams behind me at the awards show any time Taylor Lautner or Robert Pattinson were mentioned or spotted, I think it is safe to say I’m right!
